Job Description

System One has an open contract opportunity for a mobile-focused iOS Developer in San Diego, CA, with a hybrid work model that combines onsite and remote collaboration. The role centers on delivering and supporting mobile banking features while working within Agile teams and following iOS and related platform requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain mobile banking features for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, supporting ongoing stability and performance improvements.
  • Work with cross-functional Agile teams, collaborating with front-end, back-end, and product stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including contributing to sprint planning and backlog refinement.
  • Apply platform-specific development standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Write and maintain unit and UI tests, and take part in peer code reviews.
  • Stay current on mobile OS updates, development trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote platform quality by contributing to reusable component libraries.
  • At junior-to-senior levels as applicable, mentor junior developers and support team knowledge sharing.
  • Support enterprise-wide mobile initiatives and, at senior levels, influence platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Progressive experience in mobile application development (level-dependent).
  • Proficiency with relevant mobile development tools:
    • iOS: Swift, Objective-C, Xcode
    • Android: Kotlin, Java, Android Studio
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with SAFe preferred.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
