iOS Developer

SeeScan Inc. is seeking an onsite iOS Developer to join our San Diego team in the Kearny Mesa area. In this role, you will build, test, and maintain iOS applications that power our utility locating hardware, integrating Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cloud APIs, while collaborating closely with QA and hardware engineers to ensure robust, real-time data flows.

Compensation

• USD 125,000 - 160,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain iOS features to support SeeScan's latest suite of utility locating equipment
• Integrate the iOS app with Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and cloud APIs to connect with hardware and backend systems
• Tune performance, memory usage, and network efficiency to support real-time data streaming
• Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning sessions
• Assist with debugging and issue resolution in collaboration with QA and hardware teams

Requirements

• Extensive iOS development experience with a solid grasp of the iOS application lifecycle
• Advanced proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
• Strong understanding of async/await, Actors, and Combine within Swift Concurrency
• Experience with BLE, Location, and Wi‑Fi libraries
• Experience with networking libraries such as URLSession, WebSockets, SwiftNIO, and AlamoFire
• Experience with web services including REST, MQTT, and OAuth
• Proficiency with Xcode and Swift Package Manager
• Familiarity with MVVM and MVC architectures
• Testing experience with Swift testing frameworks, XCTest, mocks, and automation
• CI/CD experience using GitHub and/or GitLab
• Data persistence experience (User Defaults, File System, SQLite, CoreData, SwiftData)
• 4+ years of hands-on software development, particularly in iOS
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field with relevant experience
