Geospatial Developer
Job Description
The Geospatial Developer will join Corner Alliance to design and build geospatial applications and datasets for a Federal government client. The role emphasizes scalable GIS tools and spatial workflows to inform planning decisions and network expansion. This position requires six-plus years of GIS development experience and US citizenship for security clearance, with employment contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain geospatial datasets and maps illustrating network coverage, infrastructure siting, and service availability.
- Examine spatial and tabular data to identify coverage gaps, overlaps, and trends affecting network performance.
- Prepare GIS datasets for integration into enterprise data and analytics platforms such as Palantir, ensuring alignment with operational and program data.
- Provide data analyses using industry-standard software, including Palantir, InfoVista Planet tool, MapInfo, ESRI ArcGIS, Tableau, Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, and PowerApps, as well as drive-test postprocessing tools like Accuver XCAL and Rohde and Schwarz tools.
- Develop maps, dashboards, and visual products that merge spatial and non-spatial data to support planning and decision-making.
- Perform quality control and validation of GIS data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems.
- Produce geospatial outputs for reports, briefings, and decision-support materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain documentation, metadata, and version control for GIS datasets and analytical products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and program teams to translate requirements into geospatial solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years of Geographic Information Systems development experience.
- Demonstrated experience with GIS platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) or comparable tools.
- Experience with ArcGIS data management and scripting to process large GIS databases.
- Experience conducting spatial analysis related to network coverage, infrastructure, or telecommunications datasets.
- Experience using crowdsource data to generate insights that guide investment activities.
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills with clear presentation of findings.
- Knowledge and experience with multi-state and/or national public safety communications programs or projects.
- Experience preparing or supporting geospatial data for enterprise analytics or decision-support platforms.
- Experience solving problems when handling large datasets within ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with telecommunications, broadband, wireless, or network infrastructure data.
- Familiarity with integrating GIS data into platforms such as Palantir or similar enterprise analytics environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple analytic tasks concurrently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and technical teams.
- US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability.

Location
This is a remote role with occasional on-site meetings at headquarters in Washington, DC; Reston, VA; Arlington, VA; or Boulder, CO.
