Responsibilities
- Maintain deployments of Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Enterprise on Linux servers
- Develop Esri web applications, including Experience Builder
- Maintain Java servlets and web applications running on Apache Tomcat
- Write backend automation and scripting using Python and Shell
- Build software solutions centered on geospatial data and map-based searches
- Research innovations and optimizations for low-bandwidth network environments
- Support application security reviews using DISA STIG checklists
- Facilitate the harvest and synchronization of METOC (meteorology and oceanography) data services and products from government and scientific agencies
- Assist with migrating software, data, and services to AWS Cloud
- Organize and maintain thorough metadata records for METOC products and services
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or related IT or geospatial degree
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python
Technologies
- Esri ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise
- Linux, Experience Builder, Java servlets, Apache Tomcat
- Python, Shell, AWS Cloud
- DISA STIG checklists, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- METOC data services, and RDBMS databases such as PostgreSQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal for ArcGIS
- DoD experience (e.g., T5 / TS/SCI)
- IAT/IAM II certification (such as Security+)
- Knowledge of RDBMS databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and DISA STIG checklists
- Background working with Meteorology and Oceanography Data
Location: Stennis Space Center, MS (onsite).
