Full-Stack E-Commerce Developer

VSE Aviation Inc is seeking an experienced full-stack E-commerce Developer to design, build, and maintain custom software applications that support the company’s business and technology needs. This on-site role in Miramar, Florida requires a proven ability to translate complex requirements into reliable software and to collaborate closely with business units and IT teams.

The position calls for at least five years of relevant technical experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or an additional three years of specialized work experience in lieu of the degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to translate their requirements into technical specifications
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Refactor legacy code to modernize and standardize applications
• Ensure code complies with enterprise security standards and best practices
• Manage code repositories and enforce proper check-in/check-out procedures
• Participate in enterprise change management and testing processes
• Test code for compatibility with enterprise infrastructure patching (unit testing)
• Provide after-hours support and troubleshooting for application development issues during outages
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
• Or an additional three years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Five years of relevant/technical work experience
• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
• Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
• Three years of experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
• Three years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services

Other

• The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing
• The position may require occasional travel, less than 25%, to company sites in the US or internationally to participate in onsite business and technical meetings
• On-site presence required: two or more days per week if located in a city with VSE facilities
