Full Stack Developer

Total Technology Solutions Group is investing in custom internal software to empower our teams. As a Full Stack Developer for internal applications, you will own the technical lifecycle of internal tools from concept to production, including architecture decisions, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This hybrid role in Hanover Park, IL offers a salary range of USD 100,000 - 110,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Transform working prototypes into production-grade applications that teams rely on.
• Select the appropriate framework, architecture, and hosting for each tool, from simple single-page apps to systems with backends, databases, and authentication.
• Deploy, monitor, maintain, and enhance a growing portfolio of internal tools.
• Own bug triage, documentation, and version control across the portfolio.
• Integrate tools with third-party APIs and services.
• Collaborate directly with the Director to refine each tool from initial version to final release.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional full-stack development experience, ideally including tools you built and maintained over time.
• Strong JavaScript and React skills (HTML/CSS included). You code it directly, not just patch it.
• Experience with REST API integration and authentication—able to wire tools into external services and handle auth correctly.
• Git and disciplined version control practices.
• Good credential hygiene—no API keys in frontend code, proper use of environment variables.
• Sound architectural judgment, able to explain why a tool should be a frontend app or why it needs a backend or database.

Nice to Have

• TypeScript, Node.js, or experience with a backend language and a SQL database.
