Encompass Developer

Button Finance, Inc. is building internal platforms and integrations to improve the way loans are processed and managed end to end. In this onsite role in Santa Ana, CA, you will design, build, and optimize custom ICE Encompass solutions, combining Encompass development with modern web and API engineering.

You will work across the full lifecycle of testing, deployment, and documentation for Encompass enhancements and integrations, supporting teams that span compliance, secondary operations, and product.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Encompass capabilities using the Encompass SDK, ICE Developer Connect, custom input forms, business rules, and automation frameworks.
• Build and optimize scripts in JavaScript, VBScript, Python or equivalent languages to streamline workflows, validate data, and minimize manual processing.
• Integrate AI tools and modern technologies to enhance loan processing capabilities.
• Develop internal tools, microservices, and UI components using modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, and .NET Core.
• Architect and maintain integrations with LOS, CRM, pricing engines, AUS, document providers, and internal systems.
• Analyze operational workflows and implement scalable automation to improve cycle times and data quality.
• Provide architectural guidance, conduct code reviews, and share best practices for Encompass development.
• Collaborate with compliance, secondary, operations, and product teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Own testing, deployment, and documentation for all Encompass enhancements and integrations.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional experience in Encompass development, including SDK, ICE Developer Connect, custom forms, and business rules.
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, VBScript, Python or similar languages.
• Proven experience building full-stack applications with React/Angular and Node.js/.NET.
• Deep understanding of mortgage operations, loan workflow, and compliance-driven automation.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and architectural design skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, clean technical solutions.

Compensation

USD 175,000 - 225,000 per yearly
