Developer Team Lead
Job Description
The Developer Team Lead will guide a small software team in designing, building, and validating solutions that meet quality and performance standards. This hybrid on site role spans multiple technology stacks including MEAN, MERN, C#, Java, C++, and microservices, with exposure to emerging technologies in Allentown, PA.
Location and Work Arrangement
Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a hybrid on site arrangement. The employer reserves the right to assign the role to be on site, remote, or a combination of both, and to adjust the work location as needed. In some cases, remote work may require periodic on site presence to coordinate with team members and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Advance in depth knowledge of emerging technologies and software delivery practices.
- Collaborate with business users, system analysts, developers, and ecosystem partners to move ideas from conception to scalable launches.
- Assist in analyzing and researching new and existing products, procedures, and workflow needs tied to business systems.
- Operate effectively within an iterative, Agile environment and contribute as a strong team player.
- Adopt emerging technologies to accelerate product and service launches through rapid prototyping and iterative methods.
- Demonstrate the ability to take prototypes into production while following engineering best practices.
- Build, configure, or customize technical solutions, including reusable components, preconfigured solutions, and cloud services.
- Collaborate closely with the System Architect and multiple technology teams to champion patterns, platforms, and tools that support architectural conformity.
- Oversee automation and monitor application integration as code progresses through assembly and product testing.
- Lead and mentor developers in their job responsibilities and growth.
- Be prepared for an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role as needed, which may require after hours work during storms or other incidents affecting customer service.
- The employer may determine on site, remote, or hybrid work arrangements, and assigned locations may change. Remote work may require on site interaction for coordination with other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related work experience, or 11 years of related work experience.
- Background in software development with familiarity in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
- Demonstrated excitement and curiosity for shaping the future through digital technology.
- Familiarity with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and their applicability.
- Ability to adapt to rapid technological and business change while maintaining sound judgment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to develop technology solutions that address business needs quickly.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to unblock critical issues during product development.
