Responsibilities
- Build and operationalize complex data solutions, resolve issues, apply transformations, and propose data cleansing and quality improvements.
- Design data solutions that address business needs.
- Analyze sources to determine value and identify data to include in analytical processes.
- Incorporate core data management practices including governance, security, and data quality.
- Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products and the analytic environment.
- Perform data and system analysis, assess defects or incidents of moderate complexity, and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components to ensure reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent.
- 3+ years in a data engineer role, with additional IT or engineering experience bringing total to 7+ years.
- 2+ years hands-on ETL experience with Python or PySpark.
- Experience with cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS (also Azure or Google Cloud).
- Experience developing generative AI applications and large language models or equivalent technologies.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, programming languages, and standard software engineering practices.
- Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace, decompose tasks into small releases, and participate in tradeoff discussions.
- Strong domain expertise and the ability to understand technical concepts across relevant systems.
- Proven problem solving and debugging skills, with the ability to diagnose issues in unfamiliar code or systems and resolve repetitive problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and business partners.
- Intermediate leadership skills with a track record of self-motivation and growth opportunities.

Compensation
Base salary range: USD 109,300 - 180,200 per year.
