Job Description

In this onsite role in Chicago, you’ll design and operate advanced data pipelines and structures that support reliable, compliant data for business and analytics use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data architectures and pipelines to standardize, transform, and protect data integrity for business insights
  • Maintain data quality across ingestion, processing, and loading, including monitoring standards throughout the pipeline lifecycle
  • Create ingestion frameworks that support multiple data types, with ongoing data quality reporting
  • Deliver accessible data consumption options such as APIs, database views, and data extracts for user applications
  • Implement data solutions across platforms including Kubernetes, Teradata, and cloud services such as AWS and Databricks
  • Select data storage platforms based on data sensitivity, privacy requirements, and access needs
  • Manage data lineage and apply transformation rules to support change management and issue resolution
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data sourcing and processing while optimizing quality and efficiency
  • Apply independent judgment and discretion for matters of significance
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; able to work nights and weekends and on variable schedules as required
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years minimum experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong SQL proficiency
  • Programming language proficiency (Python preferred)
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks (for example, Apache Spark)
  • Cloud Data Warehouse management experience
  • Knowledge of at least one cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Familiarity with data pipeline design patterns
  • Knowledge of data observability

Compensation

USD 103,643 - 170,271 per year
