Data Engineer

The Business Intelligence Developer role sits on Global Payments’ Business Intelligence & Data Solutions Team. You will design and deliver scalable data warehouse and business intelligence solutions that convert complex data into insights that support business decisions and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable business intelligence solutions that provide stakeholders with actionable insights, supporting faster and better business decisions across the organization.
• Shape the evolution of data warehouse architecture by building reliable, high-performing data foundations that improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and business visibility.
• Use data storytelling and analytics to influence strategic outcomes by identifying opportunities, solving complex business challenges, and enhancing operational performance.
• Lead continuous improvement and innovation by recognizing enhancements to data processes, technologies, and reporting capabilities that create long-term business value.
• Build enterprise-wide data confidence and adoption by delivering trusted business intelligence products that strengthen decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting data warehouse and business intelligence solutions in a complex business environment.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including Transact-SQL (T-SQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into scalable data solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex data challenges, propose effective solutions, and drive results independently.
• A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset, with experience working with stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and influencing positive change through data.
