Back End Developer - Mid-level

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to support back end software development activities
• Apply analytical skills to drive process improvements, specialized studies, and requirements definition
• Analyze, plan, and develop requirements documents and functional models
• Design and develop back end architectures enabling system capabilities and integrations
• Develop and modify RESTful APIs to support application functionality
• Manage databases, model data, and optimize data workflows
• Support testing and validation to verify operability and compliance
• Participate in Agile program increment planning and related activities requiring periodic travel

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or above required; TS/SCI highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
• 7 years of software development experience in object oriented and scripted languages with familiarity across DevSecOps toolchains, microservices, and containers
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (Jira)
• 3 years of experience testing web based applications
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects
• 3 years of back end web design and development experience
• 3 years of experience with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Red Hat Linux
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab
• Proficiency with Postgres and RDS
• Experience with Python, Java, Docker, OpenJDK, and Ansible
• Experience with Luna, Exodus, Packer, Maven, and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development and system integration
• Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests to verify operability and compliance with project standards
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments

Compensation

Annual salary range: USD 100,000 - 130,000
