Android Developer

Adidev Technologies Inc is hiring an onsite Android Developer for large-scale mobile application work with client-based relocation for 6 to 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance mobile applications for the iOS or Android platform (platform assignment based on project needs).
• Deliver strong performance, quality, and responsiveness across targeted devices.
• Partner with a team to define, design, and implement new product features.
• Locate performance bottlenecks, resolve bugs, and uphold code quality standards.
• Contribute to app improvements by identifying areas for enhancement.
• Gather requirements and provide accurate, realistic milestones and timelines for delivery.
• Provide clear, up-to-date project communication, including timelines and any changes.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and ensure responsive collaboration.
• Complete any required coding tests or challenges as part of the process.
• Maintain consistent communication via phone, text, and email.
• Deliver projects on time and promptly communicate schedule or scope adjustments.
• Participate in mentoring and training related to iOS and Android development.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of MVC / MVVM software architectural patterns.
• Experience with Java and Kotlin (at least 1 year).
• Published at least one application on the Play Store.
• Knowledge of Android SDK, multiple Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes.
• Experience with testing frameworks including Espresso and JUnit.
• Familiarity with mobile data storage using SQLite and Room.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end integration.
• Comfort working with GIT and SVN for source control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Innate work ethic and self-leadership skills.
• A portfolio featuring impactful application releases is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Location

• Location: Alpharetta, GA (onsite)
• Rate/Salary: USD 30 - 40 per hour

Relocation and Employment Details

• Onsite collaboration: telecommuting or remote positions are not offered.
• Relocation: mandatory for client assignments lasting 6 to 18 months (with possible extensions).
• Type: Full-time (W2 or Contract 1099)
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
