Agentic Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a full-stack product team to design, implement, and ship features for the travel platform
• Leverage AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to speed delivery and improve code quality
• Assess AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before merging
• Contribute to refactoring and modernizing existing services using cloud-native design patterns
• Deliver clean, testable, peer-reviewed, and optimized code, whether authored by hand or with AI assistance
• Support the platform within an increasingly distributed architecture, contributing to development and operations
• Advocate for quality and durability to reduce technical debt alongside Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Product Designers
• Protect member privacy and data security in partnership with Risk and Security teams
• Contribute to backend and system reliability goals as part of the broader engineering team

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services
• 1+ year of hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in professional workflows
• Proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
• Solid grounding in RESTful API design and microservices patterns
• Experience building and deploying applications on a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with prompt engineering for code generation and awareness of Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Strong curiosity about emerging AI tools and a drive to stay current with the agentic coding landscape
• A formal CS degree is a plus, not a requirement. We care most about what you can build
