Job Description

Relativity is building legal data intelligence technology that helps teams organize information, discover the truth, and act with confidence. On the AI Platform’s Experimentation Infrastructure team, you’ll help create and run tools and infrastructure that accelerate experimentation at massive scale, supporting an AI-powered cloud platform used by organizations handling high-stakes matters.

This role is focused on distributed, scalable, secure cloud services, accessible user experiences, backend and data pipeline extensions, and reliability work that may include on-call. If you enjoy building with modern tooling and improving systems end to end, this is a strong fit.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and operate distributed, scalable, secure full-stack cloud services that process petabytes of data weekly.
  • Build performant, accessible user interfaces and extend backend services and data pipelines.
  • Deliver customer impact through clean, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Partner with teammates and product partners to solve problems and build AI-powered legal data solutions at massive scale.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve quality and maintainability.
  • Support service ownership through reliability efforts, including on-call rotations and incident response.
  • Coordinate with other Relativity teams to drive delivery.
  • Stay current with changes in AI tools and techniques.

What you bring

  • 3+ years designing, building, and operating cloud-native, distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and data platforms.
  • Comfort developing cloud-based, distributed services.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using modern tooling and CI/CD.
  • Security- and reliability-focused mindset with strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and design.
  • Motivation to challenge assumptions and focus on the real problem to solve, not just task completion.
