Job Description

Amazon's Jr. Developer Program offers a year-round internship for aspiring software engineers in San Luis Obispo. This onsite role provides structured mentorship, combining part-time duties during the school year with full-time commitments in the summer, and a potential path to full-time employment after program completion. Compensation is hourly, ranging from USD 18 to USD 65 per hour.

Responsibilities

Develop real software in collaboration with experienced engineers who provide guidance and opportunities for ownership.
Operate as a fully integrated team member and regularly contribute to meaningful deliverables.
Your designs and code will address complex technical challenges at Amazon.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
Graduating June 2028 and beyond.
Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
Ability to work year-round until graduation (part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer).
Ability to work in person year-round at the San Luis Obispo corporate office. This role is not offered remote or hybrid and all working hours must be in office.
Able to start work in June 2026.
Must be living within commutable distance to San Luis Obispo, CA.
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.
