Job Description

Onsite in Long Beach, CA, this role offers a competitive annual salary of $110,000 to $130,000, plus benefits including a 401(k), health insurance, and life insurance. You will join a collaborative environment that partners with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver meaningful digital experiences across clinical trial platforms, veterinary-facing tools, patient engagement products, and internal applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to craft digital experiences that support our mission across clinical trial platforms, veterinary tools, patient engagement products, and internal applications.
Design and implement robust front-end interfaces using Next.js and TypeScript.
Develop and modify APIs by engaging with Node.js Moleculer microservices to support front-end features.
Own features as a proactive, accountable member of a cross-functional team.

Requirements

Core Front-End Expertise: Strong track record building modern, responsive, accessible web applications with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and CSS/SCSS.
Back-End Capability: Solid Node.js and server-side architecture knowledge; comfortable navigating, modifying, and building API endpoints within a microservices setup (Moleculer experience is a big plus).
Full-Stack Integration: Understanding of state management, data fetching, and integrating a Next.js client with distributed back-end services.
Engineering Practices: Experience with modern software development lifecycles, version control, testing, debugging, and deploying in containerized Docker/Kubernetes environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical engineering experience.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and a history of thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented setting where you dive into unfamiliar code to ship features.
