Web Developer

Build and maintain learning web solutions in an onsite role in Chantilly, VA with a strong SharePoint and web development focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new courses and learning solutions across multiple delivery modalities, including major revisions to existing course content.
• Define standards for the design, development, and evaluation of courses.
• Create guidance materials and coach new instructors on course delivery and instructional techniques.
• Partner with Sponsor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on curriculum and training delivery activities, including:
  • Needs assessment
  • Instructional research and analysis
  • Course and lesson creation
  • Design, development, and delivery
  • Assessing, soliciting feedback, and supporting programmatic evaluation
• Coordinate with Sponsor management, instructional design teams, and SME instructors to determine technical requirements for learning solutions.
• Research, design, develop, document, and implement media products and artifacts supporting training courses.
• Produce training materials including WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, and graphics/visuals for print and online use, plus video projects.
• Maintain WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, graphics/visuals for print and online use, and video projects.
• Provide support for WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, graphics/visuals for print and online use, and video projects.
• Support in-class learning technologies such as an audience response system.
• Support general photography needs.
• Document processes and resources to support continuity of operations.
• Maintain code and supporting processes.
• Use knowledge management repositories.
• Use project tracking systems and processes.
• Ensure products and activities align with Sponsor requirements.
• Comply with applicable legal restrictions, including accessibility (Section 508), privacy, and copyright.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with SharePoint.
• Demonstrated experience using PowerShell for data ingestions and running scripts in SharePoint.
• Demonstrated experience with Joomla site design and site administration, including considerable skills and knowledge in Joomla 3 to 5 conversion.
• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining WBTs.
• Proficient in website coding and development using PHP, JavaScript, C++, and related languages.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience using AI tools (internal and external), including integrating AI into workflows and communicating AI use to others.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, Multimedia Development, Online Learning, or a related field from an accredited institution.
