VG Software Engineer 4

Probity Inc. is seeking a VG Software Engineer 4 to support ongoing software development and O&M for search, document collaboration, and AI-driven predictive and recommendation capabilities within a Sponsor Lean Agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution and perform software development activities within budget for search enablement across structured and unstructured data sets
• Federate searches across external data sources
• Coordinate, tag, organize, and collaborate on documents across the organization
• Use machine language to surface content that would otherwise be missed via Boolean approaches
• Apply artificial intelligence for predictive analysis and recommendations based on historical data
• Ensure systems operate continuously and align with Sponsor-approved timelines for new development
• Follow the Sponsor Lean Agile methodology, including participation in scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions
• With Sponsor oversight, manage COTS product integration and development efforts
• Provide O&M for capabilities supporting unstructured search, federated searching, and document collaboration services
• Provide after-hour on-call support
• Support problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource needs, and task clarification through consultation and coordination
• Partner with an integrated team of staff and contractors
• Understand Sponsor target cloud environment (e.g., AWS or Azure) and collaborate with security, operations, and testing teams to provide required system information and technical support
• Comply with the Sponsor Risk Management (cyber security) Framework and mitigate vulnerabilities and risks identified across the lifecycle
• Create, manage, and update Jira tickets
• Assist with navigating the security accreditation process
• Support dissemination of products to access-controlled users
• Develop and deploy web applications and UX that support dissemination of analytic products
• Provide prototype solutions, as directed, to demonstrate feasibility and benefits (e.g., unified backend architecture or modernization/redesign of backend infrastructure)
• Implement application changes based on Sponsor requirements, including support to right-size and scale cloud services during technical assessments
• Track work requirements and action items to meet program deadlines
• Deliver development requirements as requested by the Sponsor
• Use a Sponsor-approved tracking system for issues and problems
• Provide application development and programming support to implement system-level requirements
• Implement sponsor-directed changes to accommodate partner requirements, legislation, policy updates, and new functionality
• Perform functionality and performance testing for existing applications
• Develop applications and modifications in compliance with Sponsor architectural and A&A process requirements
• Engage with end users, stakeholders, and project team members to understand end-user goals and business requirements
• Create and communicate interaction and UX design decisions (e.g., user stories, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups) with the Sponsor organization
• Maintain a continuous feedback loop with users and stakeholders for UI/UX decision-making
