UX Designer / Front-End Developer

FRIDAY is seeking a UX Designer and Front-End Developer for an onsite role in New City, New York. The position combines user experience design with frontend implementation in React and React Native, focusing on UX improvements and practical frontend changes. The salary range is USD 50,000 to 85,000 per year, and candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review current product flows to identify opportunities for UX improvements
• Engage with customers and internal teams to understand pain points
• Translate user feedback into actionable UX enhancements
• Design clean, modern screens and intuitive workflows
• Implement frontend changes using React and React Native
• Collaborate closely with product and development teams to ship ideas quickly
• Utilize modern AI tools to accelerate work, enhance design, and improve efficiency
• Take ownership of product areas and continuously refine them over time

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working on a live software product used by real users
• Strong UX/UI design instincts
• Experience with React
• Solid understanding of modern front-end development
• Ability to translate product feedback into clean, usable solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to talk to customers and understand their needs
• Portfolio or examples of product work preferred
