Job Description

Compensation

Salary: USD 85,600 - 163,000 per year. Location: Illinois (remote).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain customer-facing, high-quality user content.
  • Produce a variety of deliverables, including concepts and tasks for networking features, in-product content, installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, course modules, and more.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture requirements and understand customer needs.
  • Analyze specifications and product descriptions to determine the best approach for documentation.
  • Learn the customer experience through hands-on usage of HPE networking products.
  • Adhere to established style and process guidelines to ensure consistency and completeness.
  • Lead technical documentation efforts with a small team of writers within a defined stakeholder environment and established processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and easy-to-use technical content, preferably for advanced software products.
  • 5+ years of experience creating technical content.
  • BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or related degree, networking certification, or comparable experience.
  • Solid understanding of technology concepts such as cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, security, or related advanced software topics.
  • Strong ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with XML authoring, content management, and courseware development tools.
  • Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to make progress with incomplete information.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Capacity to leverage AI tools to scale content creation while maintaining high quality.
