Job Description

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a TAK Developer to operate at the intersection of the TAK/ATAK ecosystem and Android development, delivering end-to-end software solutions within an agile environment. This onsite role in McLean, VA leverages full-stack expertise to tackle complex problems, drive architectural improvements, and partner with clients to implement robust, future-ready systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver complete full-stack solutions in a fast, agile setting, guiding projects from concept to deployment.
  • Apply senior-level expertise to master new tools, identify system improvements, and shape technical direction.
  • Help clients address challenging requirements using modern architectural approaches, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure developed solutions align with current architecture and operating environment while planning for future functionality and enhancements.
  • Collaborate to shape scalable systems that meet client needs and elevate overall outcomes.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of software development experience with object-oriented languages, including Java and Kotlin.
  • Three or more years of Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software development kit (SDK) experience.
  • Two or more years of development experience with TAK Server plugins.
  • Two or more years within the TAK ecosystem.
  • Two or more years of native Android application development.
  • Experience profiling UI, memory, and concurrency on Android.
  • Experience with on-device database management using SQLite.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Work model

Clearance

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected annual salary range for this role is $86,800 to $198,000, determined by factors including location, education, experience, and contract-specific considerations. This figure represents a typical range and is one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package.
