Sr. Software Developer Manager

ITAC Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide software delivery through both hands-on technical direction and people leadership. In this role, you will lead a 3 to 5 person software engineering team while also overseeing an approximately 15-person development function, partnering directly with product managers onsite.

This position is focused on improving how the team builds, modernizing existing software, and applying practical AI capabilities to development workflows. The role balances maintaining technical credibility with sustained investment in coaching, growth, and building future leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a 3 to 5 person software engineering team

Requirements

• Proven software engineering management background
• Direct management experience over software developers/engineers
• Ability to remain technically credible with code

Compensation

• $200,000 - $215,000 per year
• 10% annual bonus plus year-end bonus
