Sr Dynamics 365 App Developer

The Sr Dynamics 365 App Developer role supports the Enterprise Delivery team by designing, building, and maintaining Dynamics 365 solutions and related enterprise web components and automations. This position operates in an agile delivery environment and uses Power Platform and Azure technologies to deliver business outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, digital agents, and IT partners to evaluate and propose solutions
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define and communicate long-term vision, including solution architecture and delivery strategy
• Work with product owners, business users, and technical leads to define requirements, assess business value, and produce enterprise solution specifications
• Apply Agile best practices to design, develop, and maintain solutions built on enterprise application platforms
• Document and monitor application interfaces and architecture
• Create and document architecture for enterprise applications and related integrations
• Set and reinforce standards for development and design techniques across enterprise application teams
• Track emerging trends in enterprise application platforms and determine relevance and impact
• Design and develop integrated business solutions that interact between multiple cloud platforms within Azure
• Design and develop new Dynamics 365 enterprise web components using C#, SQL, .Net, JavaScript, CRM Plugins, Azure Functions, Power Automate, Power Apps, and extend or support existing applications
• Design, develop, and extend applications and automations using the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, Power FX, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management Gateway, PCF Controls, and SQL Server
• Manage and deliver multiple work items within established timelines, ensuring quality documentation, adherence to standards, and satisfaction of acceptance criteria

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications / experience (Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject preferred)
• 3+ years of IT development experience
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent experience
• Strong experience and understanding of Microsoft Power Platform with Azure development (including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIM)
• Strong experience with Dataverse (common data service) and data modeling
• Experience working on a project team using waterfall and/or agile SDLC methodology (Agile preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
• Experience with development practices including code review, coding standards, continuous integration, and pair programming
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Analytical ability to break down problems, step through to root cause identification, and drive resolution
• Ability to analyze and implement efficient and effective solutions based on requirements and tasks
• Self-starter approach to research and collaboration to resolve issues
• Willingness to understand technical tasks and build subject domain knowledge, including why work is done and how results are used by the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Operational and/or Incident management experience
• Data migration and data integration experience
• Experience with other Microsoft technologies, languages, and frameworks
• Microsoft Power Platform Certification(s)
• Experience in the Insurance industry and/or LOMA coursework
• LOMA Certifications or other insurance industry knowledge
• Familiarity with serverless microservices, automation, and low-code platforms

Compensation and Location

Location: Remote

Salary: USD 84,000 - 125,000 per year

Job Summary and Objective

The Application Developer will work as part of the Enterprise Delivery team under the direction of the Director of Dynamics Application Development. The role depends on independent judgment to build, enhance, and support Dynamics 365 solutions across multiple business areas, applying industry best practices and participating in standards for application development and implementation.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, operates in an agile environment, and applies experience to understand business problems and create technically sound solutions. Insurance and IT industry knowledge is beneficial for building effective and efficient solutions, with LOMA certifications or related knowledge preferred.
