Sr. Data Engineer, Amazon Fuse

Senior Data Engineer on Amazon Fuse's Data Analytics team in Seattle, WA (onsite), building scalable data pipelines and embedding AI into data workflows to influence Fuse's decisions with data-driven insights; salary USD 154,600 - 209,100 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and enhance code quality.
• Ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data technologies.
• Develop ETL pipelines and BI solutions while exploring opportunities to embed AI into data workflows, including data validation and transformation logic.
• Partner with business stakeholders, software development engineers, and BI engineers to identify new data sources and deliver actionable insights.
• Stay current with advances in big data and AI technologies and contribute to pilot projects.
• Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues to reduce operational load, employing AI-assisted automation where appropriate.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices
