Job Description

The Software Engineer Principal position supports the development, sustainment, and troubleshooting of the GHOSTGEM software suite applications, including DINO and potentially additional capabilities as mission needs evolve. This onsite role is based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland and requires the appropriate U.S. security clearance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the GHOSTGEM software suite of applications, including DINO, along with potential future capabilities driven by mission requirements.
  • Implement, test, and integrate with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science
  • Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash
  • Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
  • Experience with Rust concepts, or demonstrated willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containers
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with messaging frameworks, including RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
  • Experience using the Git source control system

Compensation

The likely salary range for this position is USD 175,950 - 238,050 per year.
