Job Description
The Software Engineer Lead role sits within PNC's ALM Technology organization and is based onsite in Birmingham, AL. The position may also be associated with other U.S. locations in practice, and focuses on leading the design and development of software solutions while providing technical guidance.

- Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
- Proposes and designs software solutions to address complex business needs; prepares the required technical and procedural documentation.
- Facilitates complex problem resolution.
- Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues; reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
- Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
Job Description
Key duties include creating and leading the technical design and development of software solutions, proposing and designing solutions to address complex business needs, preparing necessary technical and procedural documentation, facilitating complex problem resolution, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues, reviewing coding, testing, and documentation, and applying current methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience may be considered.
- No Required Certification(s).

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $179,400.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
