Job Description

Advance business-critical software with PNC’s Technology organization from a remote role in Pennsylvania. This Software Engineer Lead position focuses on leading technical design and development, applying modern tools and methodologies, and partnering with others to resolve complex problems. You’ll help drive software solutions that support business initiatives while contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.

What you’ll do

  • Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions
  • Propose and design software solutions for complex business needs, including preparing technical and procedural documentation
  • Facilitate complex problem resolution across development efforts
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, including reviewing coding, testing, and documentation
  • Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to improve business capabilities and advance initiatives

Core focus areas

  • Application development, delivery processes, and application design
  • Architecture, system development life cycle, and application testing
  • Release management, packaged application integration, and application delivery
  • Quality assurance, process improvements, project management, and scrum (agile)
  • Technical troubleshooting, group problem solving, and user experience (UX) design
  • BI project management, business management, customer solutions, and roles aligned with software solutions

What you bring

  • 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (university or college)
  • Certifications are often desired

Remote work details

  • Remote in the state of Pennsylvania
  • This role may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC
  • If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace
  • Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
