Job Description

At Walmart in Bentonville, AR (onsite), you will help deliver scalable, secure software solutions with cross-functional partners across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams across the full development lifecycle
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-quality code
  • Integrate advanced AI and machine learning components to enhance platform capabilities
  • Mentor peers and contribute to innovation
  • Align work with Walmart standards to drive software development excellence and operational performance

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of software development
  • Professional frontend development experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and ReactJs or next.js
  • Strong backend and platform experience with Java, Spring framework, Kafka, SQL, and cloud
  • Strong experience with RESTful Microservices
  • Container experience such as Docker on Kubernetes
  • Cloud-native experience plus CI/CD (listed as KITT)
  • Experience integrating third-party libraries and APIs
  • UI stack experience with React JS and React native
  • UI testing experience using Jest
  • Software development experience in Java or Python (with Pyspark preferred)
  • Solid Java stack skills with Spring, Maven, and Hibernate
  • Cloud Services experience using Azure or Google GCP
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling listed as Jenkins or Travis
  • Message stream system experience including Pub/Sub (Kafka) and RabbitMQ
  • Minimum 4 years of software development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area, plus 2 years experience in software engineering or related area
  • Option 2: 4 years experience in software engineering or related area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and integrating digital accessibility into products
  • Awareness of accessibility best practices aligned with Walmart accessibility standards and guidelines

Team

  • Walmart Finance Technology – Finance Data Factory (FDF) builds advanced data platforms and workflows for large-scale data processing for visualization and downstream applications
  • Uses machine learning and statistical modeling to improve transparency, governance, and automation
  • Focuses on improving business partner experiences
  • Standardizes core processes and applies reporting and predictive analytics for timely insights
  • Collaborates to design, develop, and maintain scalable, data-driven solutions for decision-making and operational excellence

Compensation

  • USD 90,000 - 180,000 per year
