Job Description
The Software Engineer III role at Jason Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a senior engineering position centered on setting standards and best practices, mentoring teammates, and improving cross-team delivery through code reviews and architecture solution drafts. This position is approximately 70% hands-on engineering and 30% collaboration, focused on designing and optimizing cloud-based and data platforms.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is USD 128,053 - 173,249 per year (as listed: $128,053.74 - $173,249.18).
Responsibilities
- Establish and collaborate on engineering standards and solution approaches, document design work, mentor engineers, and lead with engineering solutions.
- Partner with the team on new projects, supporting work from initial development and discovery through implementation and deployment.
- Provide production support by enhancing monitoring tools and building automation to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
- Implement solutions on AWS, leveraging services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RedShift, SQL Server, and RDS, and translate designs into well-architected cloud infrastructure.
- Serve as Software Engineer for applications under the direction of the Director, Software Engineering.
- Help manage the design and development process by driving decisions and coordinating efforts with fellow team members.
- Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to support troubleshooting of software products and company software/web applications, including correcting mistakes, isolating improvement areas, and performing general debugging.

This position will design, manage, and optimize cloud-based and data platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems or engineering (required).
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases including SQL Server.
- 3+ years of experience with Redshift, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, and Glue.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Replication, Data Sharing, and Data Modelling, including logical and physical data source.
- Strong knowledge of data replication and migration tools and methods such as DMS and Glue.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL pipelines across the platform.
- Ability to envision and create automation for provisioning and administration tasks.
- Knowledge of Identity Access Management such as Okta, Oauth2, JWT.
- Knowledge of CI/CD development practices.
- Ability to collaborate across teams including Product, Operations, Infrastructure, and Engineering.
