Software engineer (Full stack)

ProTrustee, Inc. is hiring a full stack software engineer for a hybrid role focused on building modern trust administration software in the Mount Pleasant and Charleston area, with strong remote opportunities for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship features across the full stack, prioritizing reliability, usability, and performance
• Design and evolve relational data models; own data modeling and storage decisions for features
• Back end development: implement RESTful APIs using TypeScript and Node.js
• Front end development: create responsive, accessible user interfaces with React
• Apply engineering best practices by writing unit and integration tests, conducting code reviews, and documenting decisions
• Security by default: follow secure coding practices, including authorization aware APIs and careful handling of sensitive data; stay current on security standards
• Monitor production systems with logging, metrics, and alerts; troubleshoot issues and drive root cause fixes
• Collaborate on product direction: contribute to ideation, scoping, and prioritization

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience, or an equivalent proven track record, with consistent delivery of high quality production code
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, with solid familiarity with React
• Experience building REST based services
• Experience designing relational data models
• Product minded, strong work ethic, and the ability to own features end to end with limited supervision
