Software Engineer – Embedded

ASD seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to embedded real-time software for launch systems. This on-site position is based at Launch Vehicles in Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining and refining system and software requirements
• Support architecture design activities for embedded systems
• Contribute to detailed software design efforts
• Aid in coding and unit testing activities
• Assist with the integration and verification of real-time embedded software
• Ensure compliance with established software standards
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related field
• Experience with object oriented software development in C/C++ on Linux
• Background in embedded real-time software development, debugging, and testing
• Experience with real time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Active DoD Secret security clearance with investigation within the last five years
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• U.S. citizenship is required
