Software Engineer / Developer

ETW Energy seeks an experienced AI‑driven Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy software solutions that advance our clean energy mission, acting as an AI orchestrator to craft precise prompts and production‑ready code.

Responsibilities

• Rapid prototyping and development: use advanced large language models to scaffold, build, and deploy clean, secure, well‑documented code across the tech stack.
• System architecture: design scalable software solutions leveraging AI tools to generate structural patterns, database schemas, and robust API contracts.
• Code review and auditing: thoroughly audit, test, and refine AI‑generated code to meet security, performance, and scalability standards.
• Debugging and optimization: apply AI‑guided workflows to diagnose bottlenecks, refactor legacy systems, and resolve complex edge cases.
• Continuous innovation: stay at the forefront of emerging AI development tools and continuously optimize internal engineering workflows and prompt libraries.
• Collaboration and communication: work with the technology team to solve complex problems and ensure software compliance with internal design and data standards.
• Quality and productivity: deliver high‑quality projects that emphasize user satisfaction and data integrity without compromising safety.
• Professional development: participate in required training and stay up to date on new technologies and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs (Claude, GPT models) and AI coding environments (Cursor, VS Code extensions) into daily development workflows.
• Strong mastery of advanced prompt engineering for code, including context window management and multi‑file generation.
• Solid computer science foundations; excellent coding skills to assess AI outputs for hallucinations or inefficiencies.
