Software Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation designs coding challenges to train AI systems, and this remote contract role invites a Software Engineer - AI Trainer to contribute from Bend, Oregon or anywhere with remote work. You’ll craft and solve varied coding problems that serve as training data for AI models, provide clear code samples with explanations, and evaluate AI-generated code to steer future model improvements. The position offers project-based, hourly compensation and flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Create and resolve a range of coding challenges that serve as training data for AI systems
- Produce clean, well-documented code snippets along with thorough explanations
- Assess AI-produced code for accuracy, efficiency, and readability
- Deliver actionable feedback that informs subsequent AI model iterations
Requirements
- Fluency in English, native or bilingual level
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- A bachelor's degree (completed or in progress)
- Prior experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred
