Software Engineer

The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and improve software that supports day-to-day business operations. This onsite role in Des Moines, IA combines hands-on development with practical ownership of how systems integrate and communicate.

The work spans the full development lifecycle, from implementing features and data solutions to validating changes through QA and end-user testing. You will also help shape the company’s technology approach as new integrations and vendor solutions come into view.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop applications that address real needs for business users using provided documentation and requirements.
• Deliver high-quality software, data solutions, and development projects that keep operations moving.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms, and support evaluation of new vendor solutions as the tech stack grows.
• Run QA testing, coordinate end-user testing, and verify functionality before release.
• Provide time estimates for projects and keep your supervisor informed on progress.
• Maintain clear records of needs, issues, and solutions so the broader team can benefit from your work.

What you bring

• 1+ years of related experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• No travel required.
