Software Engineer
Job Description
Everwatch is hiring a Software Engineer to build end-to-end software systems for government defense and intelligence missions in a fast, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complete end-to-end solutions to real problems in an agile development environment
- Develop software and systems from initial vision through production-ready implementation
- Learn new tools and techniques and identify system improvements as requirements evolve
- Support clients by addressing difficult technical challenges using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies
- Design solutions that align with the current architecture and operating environment while supporting future functionality and enhancements
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience with WebSockets for real-time data handling and interactive features
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservice architecture
- Experience building and managing SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience with OCI-compliant containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and provide status updates to peers and management
- Ability to work effectively with a small team on fast-paced development and operational projects
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Engineering

Compensation
- Compensation varies based on location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements
- Projected compensation range: $72.12 to $84.14 per hour
- Estimate shown is a typical compensation range and part of the total compensation package
