Software Engineer

Everwatch is hiring a Software Engineer to build end-to-end software systems for government defense and intelligence missions in a fast, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete end-to-end solutions to real problems in an agile development environment
• Develop software and systems from initial vision through production-ready implementation
• Learn new tools and techniques and identify system improvements as requirements evolve
• Support clients by addressing difficult technical challenges using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies
• Design solutions that align with the current architecture and operating environment while supporting future functionality and enhancements

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with WebSockets for real-time data handling and interactive features
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservice architecture
• Experience building and managing SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with OCI-compliant containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and provide status updates to peers and management
• Ability to work effectively with a small team on fast-paced development and operational projects
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Engineering

Compensation

• Compensation varies based on location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements
• Projected compensation range: $72.12 to $84.14 per hour
• Estimate shown is a typical compensation range and part of the total compensation package
