Midwest Engineered Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Engineer for an onsite role in Waukesha, WI. The position centers on enterprise, on-premises software within manufacturing and industrial environments, blending hands-on development with cross-functional collaboration, exploration of ML and AI, and deployment to on-premises systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions using C#, Blazor, and RESTful APIs
- Architect scalable on‑premises software with robust database design
- Integrate software with PLCs, HMIs, and MES platforms
- Lead code reviews and establish engineering standards
- Oversee project scope, timelines, and Jira-based tracking
- Drive exploration of ML and AI, as well as robotics, for the product roadmap
- Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications
Requirements
- Minimum five years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and Blazor
- Experience designing, implementing, and integrating RESTful APIs
- Relational database experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Experience deploying and maintaining on‑premises software
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and Jira project management
- Preferably with PLC/HMI and MES integration experience
- Exposure to ML frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
