Job Description
Location: Columbia, MD (onsite). Salary: USD 85,000 - 150,000 per year. The Software Engineer will contribute to the AEGIS Combat System Display Subsystem by writing object-oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux environment within an agile workflow. This role requires US citizenship and an active DoD secret clearance. A BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least one year of professional experience are required.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Software Engineering design documentation
- Utilize modern development tools in an agile environment to design, build, integrate, and test software for the Aegis Display Subsystem
- Write object-oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux environment
- Create and present engineering material during peer reviews and, when needed, to customers
- Travel to customer sites to investigate, test, or integrate software fixes
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen with an active DoD secret clearance
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of one year of professional experience
- At least one year of professional experience with C++
