Software Developer (Java) - TS/SCI w/Poly
Job Description
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Developer with a focus on Java to support the development of systems and capabilities for full motion video. This onsite position in McLean, Virginia requires a TS/SCI with Poly clearance and offers a salary range of USD 157,250 to 212,750 annually.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for FMV programs, aligning with the program's technical vision and mission objectives.
- Utilize a broad set of languages and technologies, including Java, JavaScript/React/Redux/AngularJS, SQL/NoSQL/Graph, and C++.
- Contribute to microservice API development and integration using gRPC and REST.
- Deploy micro and macro services with NodeJS or JBoss; manage endpoints via gRPC or REST; conduct REST-based service integration, API negotiation, threading, and load balancing.
- Apply ETL concepts and engines to decouple solutions; create and modify orchestration templates for classified environments.
- Model and query data using GraphDB, SQL, and NoSQL; work with MS SQL Server, OmniSci, and Accumulo/Hadoop for data storage and analysis.
- Build reactive web applications and maintain large-scale React/Redux apps with RxJS and Reactive Streams; sustain legacy AngularJS applications and troubleshoot in customer spaces.
- Handle applications ranging from Java to C++ with priority driven by customer needs; leverage messaging engines and HA clusters; work with Kafka streams and ksqlDB.
- Use and manage containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes; create, deploy, and manage containers and ensure scalability of deployed software.
Requirements
- Ability to apply and execute highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts.
- Willingness to learn in one discipline while developing working knowledge in adjacent fields.
- Proficient understanding of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
- Experience using JIRA to manage daily work, sprints, increments, metrics, performance, and backlogs.
- Experience developing within an Agile framework, including Sprints, Demonstrations, and Scrum ceremonies.
- Proven ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions clearly.
- Strong capability to convey project topics to diverse audiences and report relevant information succinctly.
- Proven ability to anticipate technology, process, and skill needs.
- Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required.
