Job Description
Build user-centric software for Google’s XR/Android glasses platform, including shared system UI services and AR/AI interaction experiences.
Responsibilities
- Create foundational platform components and end-to-end experiences, from initial concept through deployment, for Android glasses
- Design and build an intuitive glasses home screen
- Develop innovative AI agent interfaces that shape the future of the Android glasses platform
- Design and implement robust shared system UI services to support seamless functionality across future glasses hardware
- Drive innovation in dynamic widgets, deep AI agent integration, and notification management
- Advance augmented reality interaction methodologies
- Partner with machine learning perception specialists to develop intuitive AR experiences
- Collaborate closely with UX and Product Management to define and refine the user experience
- Turn user needs into prototypes and run user testing to maximize user benefit
- Plan and prioritize roadmaps with program management, product management, and UX stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- User interactions
- Applied AI and large language models
- 3D Interfaces
- Performance analysis
- 2 years of experience with Swift or other languages/frameworks used in mobile app development
- Interest and ability to adapt emerging technologies to limited computing contexts such as wearables
- Proficiency with AI-based workflows and ability to apply systems thinking to development
