Job Description

As a Software Developer III, the focus is on RPMS and MUMPS to build clinical applications using MUMPS/FileMan within RPMS for a federal IHS contract. The role requires healthcare IT experience and the ability to collaborate effectively on a distributed project team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and propose technical solutions to support client requirements for moderately complex software problems.
  • Emphasize analytical and engineering approaches, delivering solutions aligned with IHS standards and conventions (SAC).
  • Engage in secure system engineering and development, applying strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Design test scenarios for functional and regression testing of complex software solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve software support tickets submitted by end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field such as systems, information systems/technology, engineering, software engineering/programming, management, mathematics, or business from an accredited college or university.
  • Eight years of experience, with at least six years of specialized experience in the design and development of health information technology (HIT) systems. General experience may encompass requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
