Software Developer

Translucent Services LLC is hiring a Software Developer for an onsite role in Spring, TX, focused on advanced networking, network security, and global WAN infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced networking knowledge across core TCP/IP concepts and protocols, including routing and switching
• Support network services and addressing with IPAM, DNS, DDNS, and DHCP
• Work with load balancing and traffic management using F5 GTM and F5 LTM
• Handle secure remote access and tunnels with SSH and VPN
• Manage Internet Proxy and network security tooling, including IPS and IDS
• Design and implement routing and forwarding for IP routing protocols such as RIP, BGP, and OSPF
• Support advanced network features including IP Multicast and MPLS
• Implement Quality of Service (QoS) and analyze traffic using Netflow
• Operate and troubleshoot wireless networks using 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax
• Configure virtual networks, NAT, and ACL controls
• Apply Web Security/URL Filtering, IPSec, and malware prevention practices
• Use HP and Aruba routing, switching, and wireless technologies, including:
  • Aruba Mobility Controllers
  • Aruba Instant Aps
  • Aruba Airwave
  • Aruba Central
  • Aruba Activate
  • Aruba ClearPass
• Support SDN and SD-WAN products and services
• Apply working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities
• Perform firewall design and configuration for network security, including:
  • Device hardening
  • IDS/IPS
  • SIEM
  • Firewalls
  • IPSec
  • Vulnerability assessment
  • Intrusion detection
• Manage global WAN infrastructure with strong WAN expertise

Requirements

• IPv4 and IPv6 experience is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience
• 15 years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, engineering, and implementation in global IT networks and network security
• Experience with software engineering (10 years) is preferred
