Software Developer

The Software Developer role at PioneerTech supports sustainment and modernization of Defense Logistics Agency applications. This hybrid position combines work from the Fairfax, VA headquarters with on-site collaboration at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and requires a DoD Secret clearance along with IT-II/NACLC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Resolve software issues and consider suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Design, implement, and manage software programs.
• Write and implement efficient code based on user requirement specifications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other team members to ensure code fulfills requirements and functions as intended.
• Contribute to the development of software user manuals.
• Perform testing and evaluation of the code.

Requirements

• Full-time W2 employment only; 1099 or Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not accepted.
• Hybrid work arrangement with PioneerTech HQ in Fairfax, VA and customer site in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum).
• Must possess or be eligible for IT-II/NACLC access (required).
• Current DoDD-8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (required).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with Drupal, JBoss / Java, Oracle, MariaDB, and Solr.
• Experience developing and supporting APIs, preferably JSON-based APIs and system-to-system interfaces.
• Experience writing, modifying, testing, and deploying application code in a controlled environment.
• Ability to support requirements analysis, technical specifications, functional specifications, unit testing, regression testing, and production deployment.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting customer tickets or service requests.
• Familiarity with configuration management, release management, code reviews, and secure coding practices.

Schedule

Eight-hour shift, Monday through Friday, within core hours of 07:00 to 17:00.
