Software/CNO Developer

Agile Defense is hiring a senior Software/CNO Developer for onsite work in Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you will support the technical design, development, and implementation of large projects and major software products, while acting as a key technical resource for the development team.

This position requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and aligns with a senior non-management developer level, including opportunities to lead technical workstreams, review others’ output, and represent the team in customer and industry settings.

Role Overview

• Oversee technical design, development, and implementation of large projects and/or major software products and solutions for client or customer environments.
• Assist in defining architecture requirements and establishing standards for design and development.
• Consult with management and customers on the feasibility and viability of product plans and design approaches.
• Incorporate emerging technologies and ensure product supportability during design and implementation.
• Serve as the primary technical resource to the development team.
• May act as a team leader for prioritizing group tasks, assigning work, and reviewing lower-level developers’ efforts.
• Provide product demonstrations and participate in trade shows, seminars, industry panels, and user group meetings.
• Interact with customers on strategies, requirements, problem solving, and support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience (senior level expectations described below).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline and 8+ years of experience.
• Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree or Master’s degree, with 7+ years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI + Polygraph.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Assembly experience on any platform/processor.

Education and Experience Notes

• Typically holds a Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience (each year of work may substitute for each year of education required).
• Minimum experience expectation includes 8 years, with 3 supervision/management years or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Software development, reverse engineering, and vulnerability analysis.
• Cyber security, AI/ML, cloud computing, and full-stack development.
• Languages: C/C++, Java, Python, scripting languages, Assembly.
• Platforms: Linux, Windows, Mobile.

• DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II certification such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.

Compensation and Working Conditions

• $140,000 to $155,000 per year
• Location: Fort Meade, MD (onsite)
• Working environment: General office environment
