Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences

As a Senior Software Engineer on Speechify's Core Experiences Team, you will help build and maintain foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify across platforms, with a focus on APIs, infrastructure, and reliable systems. This onsite role is based in Houston, TX, with a salary range of USD 140,000 to 200,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to define project scope, streamline for faster customer feedback, balance integration and UX tradeoffs across platforms, and deliver solutions via our cross‑platform SDK.
• Improve performance by designing efficient abstractions and refined algorithms to enable faster loading and smarter parsing.
• Develop and deploy cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs using Kotlin.
