Cisco Security AI is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI platform engineering and API development.

Provide technical leadership by guiding and mentoring a team of Software Engineers to drive technical excellence in API development and cloud deployment
Design, build, and maintain APIs that expose AI capabilities to other teams with a focus on scalability, reliability, and usability
Partner with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate AI models and algorithms into the platform and make them accessible via APIs
Use Kubernetes expertise to architect and optimize orchestration and deployment of AI services in containerized environments
Lead deployment and ongoing management of AI services on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure to support scalability, security, and cost optimization
Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve response times and resource utilization
Implement monitoring and logging to track deployed AI service performance and health for faster issue resolution
Ensure AI services and APIs meet security and compliance requirements by collaborating with security teams on the necessary controls
Create clear, comprehensive documentation covering APIs and deployment processes so teams can effectively use the platform

5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background building SaaS services at scale using API-first design and demonstrated technical leadership
5+ years of coding experience in Python, Java, Go and/or C/C++
BA/BS degree with 4+ years of experience, or MS degree with 2+ years of experience as a software development engineer

Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and the ability to collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers
Experience delivering with Docker platform tools or similar tooling
Experience building distributed systems using Kafka, Redis, or similar technologies
Experience developing cloud infrastructure services on AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure
Experience using Kubernetes architecture
Knowledge of security and compliance standards
