Senior Software Engineer AI Platforms

Lead the development and maintenance of APIs powering Cisco’s Security AI platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership by guiding and mentoring a team of Software Engineers
• Drive technical excellence in API development and cloud deployment
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs that expose AI capabilities to other teams
• Ensure APIs are scalable, reliable, and easy for consumers to use
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate AI models and algorithms into the platform
• Use Kubernetes experience to architect and optimize deployment and orchestration of AI services in containers
• Lead deployment and management of AI services on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
• Optimize for scalability, security, and cost
• Identify and resolve AI platform performance bottlenecks
• Improve response times and resource utilization
• Implement monitoring and logging to track performance and service health
• Support troubleshooting and timely issue resolution
• Ensure services and APIs meet security and compliance standards with close collaboration to security teams
• Create clear, comprehensive documentation for APIs and deployment processes

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Senior Software Engineer, with strong experience building SaaS services at scale using API-first design and demonstrated technical leadership
• 5+ years writing code in Python, Java, Go, and/or C/C++
• Education: BA/BS with 4+ years of experience or MS with 2+ years of experience (software development engineer)

• Experience developing cloud infrastructure services on AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure
• Experience using Kubernetes architecture
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards

Location: Atlanta, GA (onsite)

Salary: USD 150,900 - 222,200 per yearly
