Senior Software Engineer

Versagility Technologies is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build next-generation mission planning software that supports Naval aviation. This role is 100% remote within the United States, operating in Eastern or Central Standard time zones, and focuses on scalable backend services and UI experiences within a SAFe-based enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software delivery as part of a team working within a multi-team, multi-organization enterprise using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software services using ASP .NET Core Web API.
• Collaborate across the enterprise to design and implement user interfaces using React JS.
• Develop end-to-end tests to validate acceptance criteria tied to UI/UX.
• Expand capability across team needs as new requests are assigned during planning intervals.
• Take ownership of and responsibility for the software products under development.
• Build domain knowledge and provide technical guidance to software and test engineers.
• Work with the team to improve user experience and expand system capabilities.
• Support development of product documentation, user training materials, and team meeting materials as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Because of the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline plus 10 years of experience, or Master’s degree plus 8 years of experience.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 6 to 9 months of the hire date.
• Experience with microservice architectures.
• Design and development experience using C# / ASP.NET Core Web API.
• PostgreSQL Database Management System experience.
• Experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Unit test frameworks including xUnit, MSTest, Moq, and NSubstitute.
• API test frameworks including RobotFramework.
• Automated UI test frameworks including Cypress.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Helm, Docker, and Liquibase.
• Ability to work with a geographically distributed team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance is preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian tools including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Prisma Cloud and SonarQube.
• Experience with Agile Scrum or SAFe, with any SAFe certification considered a plus.
• Knowledge of mission planning needs of military aviators.

Compensation and Location

• Salary: USD 145,254 - 157,348 per year
