Ascentive Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small government-site team responsible for evolving a knowledge management application onsite in Chantilly, Virginia. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on front-end development and mission-driven software, supported by a TS/SCI clearance and a collaborative environment. You will contribute to building and extending features for a critical application used in a government context, working closely with a compact team to deliver reliable software from the Chantilly site.

The position emphasizes in-person collaboration on a government site, with standard daytime hours that are somewhat flexible to accommodate project needs. You will join a team of about 10 people and contribute to a knowledge management platform with a focus on quality and security.

Job Overview

We are seeking a strong web developer to join a tight-knit team of about 10 individuals. The main responsibility is developing new features and enhancing a knowledge management application. The role is located on a government site in Chantilly, VA, and requires on-site work with a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and extend the capabilities of a knowledge management application for a government-site project.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (must have an active CI or Full Scope Poly)
  • US Citizen
  • Full-time, in-person work at a government location in Northern Virginia
  • 5+ years of experience developing front-end code for web applications
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular 10 or better (NodeJS experience considered welcome depending on team makeup)
  • Top Secret (Required)

Compensation

Salary range: $170,000 – $250,000 per year.

Location & Details

Location: Chantilly, VA. This is a full-time, on-site role at a government site. Standard hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility.

Security Clearance

Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
