Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain internal business applications primarily using Java
• Architect and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and related structures
• Diagnose issues, debug, and improve existing software systems
• Develop and maintain unit tests and contribute to code reviews
• Provide support for legacy PHP applications and build Python automation tools as needed
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based environments hosting applications
• Steer technical projects from planning through delivery
• Maintain dependable attendance and perform any additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five (5) years of professional software development experience
• Experience with Java development and object-oriented programming principles
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, query development, and performance optimization
• Experience with unit testing and testable software design
• Experience working within Linux server environments
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
